Margaret Lord

President/Treasurer - Augusta

Peggy started working at Lapointe Lumber in 1969 and became President in 1989. She lives in Augusta with her husband and has two children, a son Tim and a daughter Laura who also work in the family business along with her husband. She has 3 grandchildren and 1 dog. When not at work she enjoys camping, boating, kayaking, fishing, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Dick Tarr

Vice President - Augusta

Dick met his wife Nancy while they were attending UMO. He ended up going to work for her father Roland Lapointe who owned Lapointe Lumber with his brother Normand. Eventually Dick, along with two of Normand’s children Peggy and Normand Jr bought Lapointe Lumber first from Roland and then Normand.

He currently lives in Vassalboro in a four generation household with Nancy’s parents, a daughter and a grandson. When all that isn’t keeping him busy, he enjoys playing golf and photography.

BT Lord

Transportation Manager - Augusta

BT (Big Tim) manages the fleet in Augusta along with dispatching the deliveries to our customers. He enjoyes hunting, fishing, four wheeling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Laura Bower

Account Manager - Augusta

Laura started working for Lapointe Lumber in high school. She went to college in New Hampshire got a degree in Business Management and then came back to join the family business in 2003.

Her current position is working as an Account Manager. In this position, Laura has a gift of building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.

When Laura is not so dedicated to her job and responsibilities she keeps busy with her family. She resides in West Gardiner with her husband Adam, and their new puppy a Cane Corso, Axel In their free time, they enjoy retreating to northern Maine and enjoy hiking, fishing, four wheelings, snowmobiling, and hunting.

Ed Desjardins

Outside Sales - Augusta

Ed Desjardins has been an outside lumber salesman for 16 years and joined the Lapointe Lumber team in 2003. Ed is well versed in all facets of building and more then happy to help everyone from homeowners to building professionals see their projects completed efficiently and successfully.

When not selling lumber, Ed enjoys a second career as a musician and songwriter, and performs regularly in Maine, the rest of New England, and beyond.

Ed lives in Readfield with his wife Robin and daughter Andrea.

Joe Kresser

Joe has been a carpenter and project manager for combined 30+ years in the building industry. Having experience in restoration, new construction, and custom build, he enjoys helping customers from start to finish. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

I am a person who loves to laugh and get the most out of every day life. I am quick with a joke and often catch people off guard, leaving them wondering what will come next.

I reside in South China with my wife Tammie. During the summer months you will often find us working either in the garden or in the greenhouse.

I spend a lot of time with my brother in law and nephew working to develop and improve their farm in South China.

JoAnne is also a volunteer at Maine Greyhound Placement Services from where she adopted 2 retired racing greyhounds.

Jason Simmons

Jason has been in the building industry for 20+ years. 15 of those years he
has specialized in Kitchen and Bath designs/sales. He enjoys working with
customers and helping them design the kitchen of their dreams. On his
days off Jason enjoys activities with his son. This includes anything from
hiking,camping, fishing and swimming.

Tim Lord

Tim has been with the company since 1994. He started working in the yard, then driving trucks and has work up to be Outside Sales. He enjoys working with his customers from the beginning of the project to the finish and seeing the end results. When not at Lapointes, Tim manages his time between outdoor activities with his wife & 2 children. Tim enjoys the various projects going on at his Augusta home either woodworking or time in the garden.

Kevin brings nearly two decades of customer service and several years of remodeling and building experience to the Lapointe team. His wife, Lynn, and 3 kids live in Augusta. When he's not helping contractors and homeowners tackle their building projects, Kevin invests his time remodeling his own home, passionately cheering his kids on as they play basketball and lacrosse, or hauling in the bass while fishing from a canoe.
